Permanent and temporary positions at European School Copenhagen

European School Copenhagen is looking for a number of teachers in the Upper Secondary department in both permanent and temporary positions from August 8th, 2025.  

We are especially looking for teachers in the following subjects, although there may also be available positions in other subjects as well: 

  • English as a foreign language 

  • Geography taught in English 

  • History taught in English 

  • Political Science taught in English 

  • Philosophy taught in Danish and English

Requirements   

  • A relevant bachelor's or master's degree. 

  • Excellent knowledge of English, which is the common language at the school  

  • Proven experience in teaching the relevant age group (age 16-19)  

  • Outstanding commitment and ability to engage students and assist in developing their social, creative and academic skills   

 

The ideal candidate will have  

  • Experience in international or intercultural education   

  • Proficient IT skills    

  • Proactive attitude to school development  

  • Experience in working in a busy environment   

 

About the school 

European School Copenhagen (ESCPH) is a public, international school under the Municipality of Copenhagen and the first of its kind in Denmark.  The mission of the European Schools is to provide a multilingual and multicultural education for nursery, primary and secondary pupils.
